Sonifex AVN-MPTR Technician Remote Controller, Rackmount

Presenters on-air can control the audio levels delivered to their radios or connected IEM systems with the presenter mixer system, while sound control room operators can control the levels remotely. The system is made up of three different types of units that are all connected to a common Ravenna Audio over IP (AoIP) network. Additional audio sources are obtained from input portals or mixers that are based on Ravenna. Websites and/or programs from third parties can be used to offer setup and control. Mono audio is used throughout the system.

Similar to the Presenter Remote Unit controls, a technician can operate a Virtual Mixer with the AVN-MPTR Technician Remote Unit. The MPTRs are often connected to a Mix Engine because they are assigned to a gallery. The technician's remote unit does not have any audio; instead, the technician's area receives monitor audio via an output on the Mix Engine. Nevertheless, this product is similarly connected to the MPPR, and if necessary, we may provide audio-enabled versions of the MPTR. The Virtual Mixer (VM) to be controlled is selectable using the Virtual Mixer buttons labeled Pres 1 – Pres 8 on the front panel. The mixer selection buttons are only active when the AVN-MPTR is grabbed by a mix engine (as indicated by a green Auth LED). A VM's related button will turn green when it is selected (or blue if MPPR lockout is enabled for that particular VM). The mixer select button LEDs will all be off if there isn't a selected virtual machine. The rotary encoders function similarly to those on the Presenter Unit once a virtual machine (VM) has been chosen. Source level control by MPPRs allocated to a specific virtual machine (VM) can be prevented by the AVN-MPTR.
