LAB GRUPPEN FAD602_US1 2 x 60W Commercial Amplifier with Direct Drive Technology, Dante Networking and Energy Star Certification (FAD602_US1)

The FAD602, a dual-channel 2 x 60-watt amplifier, presents an ideal solution for commercial and industrial settings seeking top-notch distributed audio while prioritizing power efficiency and reduced operational costs. It's adept at delivering high-fidelity sound across both Low-Z (4/8 Ohm) and High-Z (70/100 V) loudspeaker configurations, offering unparalleled flexibility on every channel. Its straightforward installation and user-friendly operation cater to individuals of all technical backgrounds. In summary, the FAD602 is perfectly tailored for various environments such as bars, restaurants, retail spaces, hotels, corporate offices, educational institutions, or any location requiring background music or a robust public address system.

Dante * Audio Connectivity

Dante replaces point-to-point analog and digital connections with a standard IP network that delivers completely lossless audio, massive channel counts and near infinite signal routing flexibility, all while being incredibly easy to deploy and use. Dante Domain Manager is network management software that enables user authentication, role-based security and audit capabilities for Dante networks, while allowing seamless expansion of Dante systems over any network infrastructure. The FAD602 is DDM ready.

Energy Star * Certified

The FAD602's direct drive constant power technology truly stands out in its energy efficiency and superior audio performance. Its Energy Star certification underscores its capability to consume less mains power compared to other competing amplifier models. This technology not only contributes to cost savings on electricity bills but also reduces the installation demands and costs for the main supply. Leveraging existing mains infrastructure for installation minimizes the need for additional resources, leading to substantial savings during both installation and operation. Ultimately, these efficient practices contribute to environmental preservation by reducing energy consumption and minimizing the ecological footprint of the amplifier system.

Easy to Install

The FAD602's design caters to various installation preferences and needs. Its rubber feet offer versatility, allowing placement on desks or shelves without additional requirements. Moreover, the optional rack mounting hardware enables housing and protection within an enclosure. This flexibility extends to housing options, accommodating a single product in a half 19" rack or a full rack enclosure. Additionally, the brackets facilitate side-by-side mounting of a pair of amplifiers within a single rack space. Furthermore, the unit can be conveniently mounted to a wall or under a table/shelf, enhancing its adaptability to diverse installation environments.

Automatic Power On/Off

The FAD602's power scheme is designed for efficiency and ease of use. It features automatic power on/off functionality based on the input signal, optimizing power consumption. With minimal configuration needed, the amplifier system can be effortlessly set up for hands-free operation. When the FAD602 is powered on without an input signal for 20 minutes, it enters sleep mode to reduce power usage. Upon detection of a signal by the Auto Ramp circuit, the system reactivates, returning to normal operation. Additionally, users can manually force the amplifier into standby mode or wake it using the front panel power button, ensuring control over its power state.

Tamperproof Gain Controls

FAD602’s input gain controls are placed on the rear panel for tamperproof operation. Available for adjustment – but requires a tool when making changes.

Easy to Hook Up

For connecting a balanced source such as a mixer or audio processor, a standard 3-pin Euroblock Input socket is provided. Loudspeaker Output is provided in the form of a standard 2-pin Euroblock socket.

Output Configuration

Configuring the FAD602's output channels is straightforward and conveniently located near the rear panel Euroblock output connector. The dipswitches allow for easy selection between different output configurations such as 100 V, 70 V, 8 Ω, or 4 Ω operation. These switches control both the maximum voltage of the output and the gain settings within the device. Additionally, there's an individual control for engaging the built-in high-pass filter. This feature is particularly useful in constant voltage systems to prevent saturation on transformer-enabled loudspeakers, ensuring sound integrity and optimal performance.

Expandable Remote Control

The RJ45 receptacle on the rear panel opens up a broad range of remote control options, including the CRC-V Series of wall controllers and a stylish tabletop controller, the LAB.LEVEL. All can be interconnected via inexpensive and readily available Ethernet cabling.

System Scalability

Absolutely, the FAD602's versatility within a family of products allows for adaptable installations, especially in commercial settings. Its compatibility with both single and dual-zone products offers scalability, enabling users to expand or modify their systems as needed. The individual zone volume and remote control capabilities further enhance its flexibility, making it an excellent choice for dynamic and customizable system solutions.

Real-World Energy Savings

The FAD602 indeed simplifies delivering top-notch audio to business and industrial environments. Its seamless integration, along with user-friendly operation, ensures hassle-free setup and management. The inclusion of technologies like Auto Ramp and direct drive constant power not only guarantees superior performance but also enables remarkable energy savings, making the Energy Star-certified FAD602 a cost-efficient investment for such settings.
