LAB GRUPPEN FAD1202_US1 2 x 120W Commercial Amplifier with Direct Drive Technology, Dante Networking, and Energy Star Certification (FAD1202_US1)

The 2 x 120-watt dual-channel Amplifier offers an optimal solution for commercial and industrial settings seeking top-quality distributed audio alongside energy efficiency and reduced operational costs. It delivers exceptional sound quality across both Low-Z (4/8 Ohm) and High-Z (70/100 V) loudspeaker configurations, providing unparalleled flexibility on each channel. The FAD1202 is designed for effortless installation and operation, ensuring user-friendly functionality even for non-technical individuals. Tailored ideally for various venues like bars, restaurants, retail spaces, hotels, corporate environments, educational institutions, or any location requiring background music or a reliable public address system, the FAD1202 stands as a versatile and dependable audio solution.

Dante* Audio Connectivity

Dante technology revolutionizes traditional point-to-point analog and digital connections by employing a standard IP network, ensuring impeccable audio quality, extensive channel capacity, and virtually limitless signal routing options. It offers these advantages while maintaining remarkable ease in deployment and operation. Furthermore, Dante Domain Manager (DDM) serves as network management software that enhances Dante networks by providing user authentication, role-based security features, and audit capabilities. It enables the seamless expansion of Dante systems across diverse network infrastructures while ensuring robust security protocols. The FAD1202 is fully compatible and ready to integrate with Dante Domain Manager (DDM), facilitating its incorporation into Dante networks and leveraging the benefits of enhanced network management, security, and scalability.

Energy Star * Certified

Not only does FAD1202’s direct drive constant power technology provide superior audio performance and reliability, but it also consumes fewer mains power than competing models, which has earned it Energy Star * certification. This amazing technology makes it possible to design and build powerful amplifier systems that not only save money on the electrical bill but also reduce the requirements and cost of the installation for the main supply. In fact, it is likely that installation can be done utilizing the in-place mains infrastructure. This adds up to significant installation and operational savings and protects the environment.

Easy to Install

The FAD1202 is designed for versatile placement options. It comes equipped with rubber feet, allowing convenient placement on desks, shelves, or any flat surface without the need for additional installation. Additionally, it provides optional rack mounting hardware, offering the flexibility to house and safeguard one or multiple units within an enclosure. This adaptability allows a single product to fit into a half 19" rack or a full rack enclosure. Moreover, two amplifiers can effortlessly be mounted side-by-side within a single rack space, maximizing utilization. Furthermore, using the included brackets, the unit can be easily wall-mounted or conveniently placed under a table or shelf, ensuring adaptable and space-efficient placement to suit diverse installation needs.

Automatic Power On/Off

The FAD1202 boasts a flexible power mechanism featuring seamless and automatic power control based on the input signal. This intelligent system reduces energy consumption during signal absence, requiring minimal configuration for an energy-efficient and user-friendly amplifier setup.

When the FAD1202 is powered but remains inactive without an input signal for 20 minutes, it enters a low-power sleep mode, effectively reducing energy usage. Once the Auto Ramp circuit detects an incoming signal, the system swiftly powers on, resuming normal operation. Additionally, users have the convenience of instantly forcing the amplifier into standby mode or awakening it via the front panel power button, offering quick and easy control options for immediate operation or standby as needed.

Tamperproof Gain Controls

FAD1202’s input gain controls are placed on the rear panel for tamperproof operation. Available for adjustment – but requires a tool when making changes.

Easy to Hook Up

For connecting a balanced source such as a mixer or audio processor, a standard 3-pin Euroblock Input socket is provided. Loudspeaker Output is provided in the form of a standard 2-pin Euroblock socket.

Output Configuration

Adjacent to the rear panel Euroblock output connector, intuitive configuration options for the flexible output channels are available via dip switches. These switches allow convenient selection between 100 V, 70 V, 8 Ω, or 4 Ω operation, thereby adjusting both the maximum output voltage and the gain across the device. Moreover, an individual control is dedicated to activating the built-in high-pass filter. This feature is essential for constant voltage systems, serving to prevent saturation on transformer-enabled loudspeakers and uphold sound integrity. Utilizing the high-pass filter is recommended to ensure optimal performance and maintain sound quality across different setups.

Expandable Remote Control

The RJ45 receptacle on the rear panel opens up a broad range of remote control options, including the CRC-V Series of wall controllers and a stylish tabletop controller, the LAB.LEVEL. All can be interconnected via inexpensive and readily available Ethernet cabling.

System Scalability

Commercial installs vary widely in scope and often grow and change over time. The FAD1202 is part of a family of products that provides both single and dual-zone products that are perfect for building out a system of any size. With its individual zone volume and remote control capabilities, the FAD1202 is an ideal building block for a dynamic and scalable system solution.

Real-World Energy Savings

The FAD1202 2 X 60Watt Commercial Amplifier offers a seamless solution for delivering top-notch music and announcements in business and industrial settings. Its user-friendly integration and straightforward operation ensure a hassle-free experience. Beyond its ease of use, the FAD1202 is equipped with advanced features like Auto Ramp and groundbreaking direct drive constant power technology. Being Energy Star certified, this amplifier not only excels in performance but also brings substantial energy savings. In fact, the efficiency gains are so substantial that the FAD1202 can essentially cover its own costs in a remarkably short period, making it an exceptionally cost-effective choice for businesses seeking quality audio with substantial energy efficiency benefits.
