LAB GRUPPEN CMA1202 2 x 120W Commercial Mixer Amplifier with 8 Inputs (CMA1202)

The 2 x 120 Watt Commercial Mixer Amplifier (CMA1202) is a versatile solution tailored for commercial and industrial settings. Designed to deliver excellent distributed audio performance while prioritizing power efficiency and reduced operational costs, it caters to various applications. Capable of providing high-quality sound across both Low-Z (4/8 Ohm) and High-Z (70/100 V) loudspeaker configurations on every channel, it ensures remarkable flexibility. Its user-friendly installation and operation, suitable even for non-technical users, make it a fitting choice for establishments such as bars, restaurants, retail spaces, hotels, corporate offices, educational institutions, and other venues that require background music and/or a public address system.

Easy to Install

The CMA1202 offers versatile installation options to suit various setups. With its rubber feet, it can be conveniently placed on a desk, shelf, or any flat surface without requiring additional installation efforts. However, for more structured arrangements, the included optional rack mounting hardware allows for housing and protection within an enclosure. This flexibility allows a single product to fit into a half 19" rack or a full rack enclosure. Additionally, two amplifiers can be mounted side-by-side in a single rack space for more efficient use of space. The unit also includes brackets enabling wall mounting or mounting under a table or shelf, providing adaptability for different spatial configurations.

Automatic Power On/Off

The CMA1202 offers a flexible power scheme designed for efficiency. It features automatic power on/off functionality based on the presence of an input signal, reducing power consumption when there's no signal present. This system requires minimal configuration, enabling an energy-smart and user-friendly amplifier setup for seamless, hands-off operation. When powered on but inactive, if the CMA1202 does not receive an input signal for 20 minutes, it automatically enters sleep mode, reducing power consumption. Once an input signal is detected by the Auto Ramp circuit, the system powers on, resuming normal operation. Additionally, users have the option to manually force the amplifier into standby mode or awaken it instantly using the front panel power button for added control and convenience.

Sublimely Simple Controls

CMA1202’s controls are sublimely intuitive, allowing the operator to quickly make adjustments. The front panel power button and Master volume knob are easily accessible, enabling virtually anyone to operate the system. Bass and Treble controls are also available for fine-tuning – but require a tool when making changes.

Easy to Hook Up

The CMA1202 offers versatile connectivity options for various audio sources. It features a standard 3-pin Euroblock Input socket, ideal for connecting balanced sources like mixers or audio processors. Additionally, it supports RCA cable connections for unbalanced stereo sources like players, phones, or computers, although only one input source should be used at a time to ensure proper functionality. For loudspeaker output, the CMA1202 includes a standard 2-pin Euroblock socket, providing a reliable connection for your speakers.

Output Configuration

The CMA1202 simplifies output configuration with dipswitches conveniently located near the rear panel Euroblock output connectors. These switches enable easy selection of the desired output settings individually per channel—options include 100 V, 70 V, 8 Ω, or 4 Ω operation. Each switch configures both the maximum voltage of the output and the gain through the device. Additionally, an individual control activates the built-in high-pass filter, recommended for constant voltage systems. Using this filter helps prevent saturation on transformer-enabled loudspeakers and maintains sound integrity, enhancing overall audio performance.

Expandable Remote Control

The RJ45 receptacle on the rear panel opens up a broad range of remote control options, including the CRC-V Series of wall controllers and a stylish tabletop controller, the LAB.LEVEL. All can be interconnected via inexpensive and readily available Ethernet cabling.

System Scalability

Absolutely, the CMA1202's adaptability and compatibility within a product family make it an excellent choice for flexible and scalable system setups in commercial environments. Its features, including individual zone volume control and remote control capabilities, establish it as a fundamental building block for a versatile and expandable system. As part of a family of products designed for single and dual zone applications, it ensures seamless integration and growth possibilities as your system evolves over time.

Real-World Energy Savings

Absolutely! The CMA1202, with its 2 x 120 Watt capacity, offers an effortless way to deliver top-notch music and announcements to various business and industrial settings. Its easy integration and user-friendly operation streamline the system setup and management. Moreover, the amplifier's innovative features, like Auto Ramp and direct drive constant power technology, contribute to significant energy efficiency, potentially resulting in substantial savings that offset the initial investment remarkably quickly.
