Allen Heath GLD-80Digital console is a user-friendly, cost effective and scalable live digital mixing system, conceptually based on the hugely successful digital iLive series. A standard GLD 32 input system offers 28 XLR mic inputs with plug n’ play I/O expanders allowing easy expansion up to 48 inputs (44 XLR mic inputs).

GLD-80 has an analogue-style channel processing control section complemented by a graphical 8.4 inch touch screen. There are 20 fader strips in 4 layers, each with motorised fader, a channel LCD display which can be named and colour-coded, plus a rotary control for direct access to gain, pan and aux/FX sends. The mixer‘s local I/O comprises 4 XLR mic/line inputs, 4 XLR line outs, 4 RCA inputs, 2 RCA outputs, and digital outputs in SPDIF and AES3 formats.
The GLD-80 connects to a range of plug ‘n play I/O racks to ‘build’ 28, 36 or 44 mic input systems. A primary AR2412 rack (24 XLR inputs, 12 XLR outs) and up to two AR84 expander racks (8 XLR inputs, 4 XLR outs each) can be connected over 120m CAT5 runs using A&H’s dSNAKE protocol. dSNAKE provides control to the remote preamp, and all mic preamps are scene recallable. GLD has the ability to record and playback a stereo signal on a USB memory stick. 5. The wall plate outputs stereo line level audio to the contractor supplied powered speakers or local amp and speaker system in each room or can drive two 8 ohm speakers with a RMS of 2.5w per channel.
6. A local audio input (personal CD player or tape player) can also be connected in each room and selected from the wall plate. The wall plate can control volume of the local device and allow paging through the speakers, even when the music is turned off.
7. Each wall plate homeruns directly to the main unit via one CAT 5 cable. If the wall plate is to power speakers then the cable run is up to 500 ft. from the main system. If you use the line level output of the wall plate then you can run the wall plate up to 1000 ft. from the main unit.

The Shure Axient AXT400 dual-channel receiver, AXT100 bodypack transmitter and AXT handheld transmitter can deliver a package that provide onscreen alerts when interference is detected and move to a clear frequency in a few milliseconds. The AXT 400’s interference-detection circuitry will also discover even the smallest changes in RF signal quality and, when warned, allow the engineer to manually move to the chosen backup frequency. It also features ShowLink Remote control for real-time wireless transmitter adjustments of things like frequency assignments, RF mute enabling and RF power output changes. It has advanced squelch suppression so that the system will never spit white noise out into the room, something I heard demonstrated onstage at the Shubert. Also, with the AXT610 ShowLink Access Point, you can have a wireless network connection between linked transmitters and receivers (up to 16), allowing for real-time network control over wider coverage areas. You can control even more transmitters by adding more Access Points.
With the AXT600 Spectrum Manager, the backup frequency assignments mentioned above can be made automatically. The 1U Spectrum Manager does wideband UHF spectrum scanning and frequency coordination and will help deliver critical information for allocating the best available frequencies to the relevant channels. Additional system components include the AXT620 Ethernet Switch, a 9-port switch for networking Axiom Systems; the AXT630 Antenna Distribution System for extra RF protection and optimal performance; and the AXT900 Rack Mount Charging Station for tour-ready battery charging and battery health information. There are also a variety of bodypack and handheld charging modules, batteries and so on.Last but not least is something called Wireless Workbench 6 for Windows and MAC OSX. This event planning and control software was developed with the Axient system and allows for comprehensive system coordination, monitoring and control … all from a laptop. There are many other small but important details that help define this system, such as the ability to simultaneously transmit on two independent frequencies, the inclusion of analog FM technology for super-low latency, 40 to 18 kHz frequency response and even batteries with onboard microchips able to display accuracy to within 15 minutes of remaining life.

Soundcraft Si Compact 24 channel Mixing Console at an Affordable price

All this and more without compromising a powerful feature set.
The Si Compact 24 features 24 recallable mic preamps plus 4 stereo returns for a total of 32 inputs to mix. Each input is fully equipped with compressors, gates, parametric EQ, high pass filter and delay.
All Si Compact consoles have buses and output processing to match the versatility of the inputs, all mix and matrix busses feature a compressor and parametric EQ and graphic EQ always available on every one of the 25 mix buses.
To complement the channel processing, the Si Compact offers four stereo Lexicon FX processors providing a wealth of sounds and user adjustable parameters.

The mixer features a total of 8 line level and 8 microphone input channels with XLR / phone jack combination connectors. All microphone inputs are capable of providing +48V phantom power to condenser microphones. An integrated mono amplifier is capable of driving 500 watts per channel at 4 ohms. Roland V System digital Mixers new R1000 48 track Hard Disk Recorder

When integrated with the V-Mixing System, the R-1000 is a powerful tool that will help musicians improve their performance, enable sound techs to deliver a better mix and provide a better interaction between musician, band leader and sound tech.
Fully Integrated System
The R-1000 integrates seamlessly with your customer’s existing V-Mixing System. It installs easily between the Digital Snake and V-Mixer with Cat5e cables allowing the R-1000 to see all 160 channels of audio flowing from Snake to V-Mixer and audio patched to the REAC A and B output patchbays on the V-Mixer.
The R-1000 is seamlessly controlled right from the V-Mixer’s interface for easy patching and arming of tracks for recording along with song selection, marker editing and transport controls.

Instant Virtual Rehearsal
Because the R-1000 is seamlessly integrated with the V-Mixing System, recorded multi-track audio can be played back instantly without any re-patching of digital snake inputs from stage or changing to a special mode.
Now musicians can “hop off stage” and instantly hear their rehearsal performance to check for tuning, tempo and an overall understanding of how their playing fits in the mix. Musicians also benefit by not having to replay their instrument so the sound tech can “dial them in”. One pass by a singer can be looped over and over saving their voice while the sound tech works on mixing their vocal.
For sound techs, they can work on the mix later, on their own schedule without needing the band present. The R-1000 also becomes an excellent training tool for new operators or experienced operators wanting to experiment with a new mixing technique.
Virtual Preamp Control
When engaged, the Virtual Preamp mode allows the sound tech to work on the audio tweaking of a channel including the gain stage on the pre-amp. As the sound tech is working on a virtual rehearsal with tracks playing from the R-1000, an adjustment made to the preamp on the V-Mixer channel will cause the R-1000 to attenuate the signal to simulate changing the preamp on the input. This will also change the physical Digital Snake preamp in the background so it is at the correct level for the next performance.
